The selection of geomembrane should be comprehensively considered in terms of engineering application, economy, construction technology characteristics and material performance. First consider whether the permeability and quality meet the requirements. Secondly, in order to prevent damages encountered during transportation and construction, geomembrane must have good mechanical properties such as anti-permeation, anti-puncture, and tensile strength. Of course, during construction, we must also take care to protect it from damage. In addition to the above points, durability and thickness should also be considered.
Before laying the composite geomembrane, it should go through the inspection of the excavation of the exhaust trench, and complete the finishing and leveling of the bottom and slope of the storage.
There are two ways to lay composite geomembrane on the upstream dam surface of the earth dam. The other is laying perpendicular to the dam axis (horizontal laying). There are 7 anti-slip tooth grooves on the upstream slope, and the tooth groove spacing is 5-10m. The bottom of the tooth groove is 1m wide and 0.8m deep. This project adopts the horizontal laying method, and the composite geomembrane must be folded 50cm and stretched at the upper end of the grazing.
As we all know, the main equipment for producing geomembrane in my country is divided into laminating machine and blown film machine. Of course, the equipment is getting more and more advanced, and the produced geomembrane has been greatly improved in terms of vision and physical chemistry. So, how are the blue and green impermeable geomembrane processed? In theory, in actual design, users usually design with black and green on the other side or blue on the other side. In addition, when the two sides are colored, they are used for special projects. It is called black green and black blue. If you simply produce reverse osmosis membranes with the same color on both sides, you can make a laminating machine. When producing black-green or black-blue impermeable membranes, blow molding equipment is required for processing. Special masterbatch materials and ultraviolet strong carbon black are added in the production process, which has excellent durability.
The purpose of geomembrane is to use its anti-permeability effect. Geomembrane should be impermeable to the molecular structure and manufacturing process. However, due to the unevenness and defects in manufacturing, the commonly used geomembrane must not leak. It's just that it is relatively difficult to permeate and what is more important is whether the geomembrane can maintain its anti-seepage performance under the action of long-term water head when it contacts the actual soil (or other materials). Due to the uneven contact surface, rough soil particles, large local deformation of the soil, etc., the geomembrane may be broken or torn under the action of high water head, and its anti-seepage performance will be lost or weakened. Therefore, corresponding anti-seepage tests are also required.
