W-shaped drainage mat

W-shaped drainage mat is also called W-shaped drainage pad, which is composed of two layers of non-woven fabrics combined with a middle drainage core board. The drainage core board uses PP as a raw material to form a "W" -shaped longitudinal full-section continuous drainage channel through special extrusion. Because the channels in the drainage core board are continuous and straight, the levels in the different channels do not interfere with each other, so that the seepage water can pass at a fast speed, thereby achieving a good drainage effect. The upper and lower composite non-woven fabrics play a filtering role, so that no particles will enter the drainage channel to block the channel in practical application of the project, so as to ensure that the soil structure is perfect and no structural deformation or collapse occurs.

    The new type of geocomposite drainage pad can quickly drain excess water in wading projects, reduce pore water pressure, and improve the overall stability of the project. Compared with traditional graded gravel or yellow sand drainage layer, it has the following advantages:

(1) Economy.

① Economical. According to calculations, the use of geo-composite drainage mats to replace traditional drainage cushion materials can save 15% -30% of the cost, which does not include the benefits brought by the convenience of construction.
② Construction is rapid. The use of a geo-composite drainage mat is simple and fast, greatly simplifying the complicated grading process of the traditional gravel drainage mat, which can effectively reduce the construction period and save costs.
③ The drainage effect is good. According to calculations, the drainage capacity of a 5mm thick geocomposite drainage mat is equivalent to the drainage capacity of a 50cm thick gravel drainage layer under the same conditions, and it is not easy to block, which can greatly reduce the volume of the drainage layer.

(2) Convenience of construction.

① The new type of geo-composite drainage pad is light in weight and requires no mechanical assistance. It can be constructed by hand only; no technician or special construction tools are needed. Generally, construction can be completed with cutting appliances, nails and hammers.
② The construction method is simple and easy to use, which ensures the continuity and convenience of the construction, and it is not easy to have construction quality problems.

(3) For reverse filtration and anti-seepage.

① The geonet between two layers of geotextiles not only provides drainage channels, but also can be used as reinforced bars to improve the physical and mechanical properties of soil.
② Geotextile can play a good role in filtering, so that water and soil loss will not occur at the same time of drainage, and the soil retention effect is good.
③One of the geotextiles can be replaced with a geomembrane to prevent seepage.

④Compared with the W-shaped drainage mat, the main feature of the new drainage mat is that the drainage channels are continuous straight lines and do not interfere with each other, which can achieve a good drainage effect.
