Three precautions for geomembrane paving

Pay attention to three points when paving geomembrane, which can increase the service life.

1. Welding requirements For large ponds, multiple geomembranes must be welded. When welding, it needs to be carefully butt jointed, and the weld seam is firm and smooth, and there is no leakage. At the same time, check other parts of the geomembrane during transportation and other possible scratches, find cracks and repair them in time.

2. Area requirements. As the bottom of the fish pond may sink after water storage, and the flatness of the bottom of the fish pond itself is not good enough, space must be left when the geomembrane is laid, and it cannot be laid too straight and flat. flat.

3. Treatment of surrounding welds As the geomembrane of the park only covers the bottom of the fish pond, but not the enclosure wall, it is the most critical to deal with the joints between the bottom of the wall and the geomembrane. Dig a 30cm30cm wide foundation trench at the bottom of the enclosure, press the edge of the geomembrane into the trench, and then gently pour the reinforced soil into the trench, which can effectively prevent leakage of the wall at the foundation.

Since the newly built fish pond is dedicated to fishing, in order to prolong the service life of the geomembrane at the bottom of the pond, we leveled the river sand to about 25 cm behind the bottom of the pond. If the fish pond is a nursery pond, it can be spread in 20 cm thick soil to keep the fertilizer and water warm and protect the geomembrane.

In production and use, one is to prevent sharp objects from damaging the geomembrane. The other is to drain the groundwater by lowering the water level of the pond to avoid excessive groundwater level and damage to the geomembrane; in the off-season 30 days, the depth of the pond should be kept above 0.5m to avoid overwintering in a dry pond.
